What is Hourly Care?

Domiciliary Care, in the form of Hourly Care allows you to receive help every day, without the need of a full-time, live-in carer. This is perfect if you wish to live as independently as possible.

Our hourly care services include:

  • ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICINE (EXCLUDING INJECTIONS & CONTROLLED DRUGS)

  • COMPANIONSHIP (AT HOME OR ON TRIPS)

Your carer can also pick up your pension and prescriptions and keep your administration up to date including paying bills etc. You can request as little or as much care as you want creating a tailored package to suit your lifestyle.

What is included in our hourly care at home service?

Hourly care is tailored to you. Carers at Global Support and Care Ltd are trained to provide many different kinds of care including the following :

Hourly care services

Carers will fulfil the tasks agreed to in their service agreement. These tasks can range from personal care to domestic tasks and chores including shopping, laundry, meal preparation and transport. The focus is on making sure you feel safe, independent and cared for through your regular routines.

Responsibilities, duties and tasks of an hourly carer

  • Personal care such as washing, dressing and continence care      
  • Prompting clients to take prescribed medicines
  • Administering first aid
  • General care help, including laundry, gardening and admin. tasks
  • Preventing falls and accidents in the home
  • Accompanying clients on any social, domestic or recreational trips outside of their home
  • Preparing meals and cooking food            
  • If you have pets, there are carers that can help to look after them. Many carers also drive their own vehicles and can help you with transport or accompany you as you need.

How much does hourly care cost?

Global Support and Care Ltd hourly care rates are priced ‘per hour’ with the price changing depending on the amount of time needed per visit from your carer.

Our hourly domiciliary Standard Care rates are:

One Hour+ Visit

From £12.50

From £25.00 per hour

Our hourly domiciliary Complex Care rates are:

Additional charges will be levied for travelling expenses based on the location of the service user from our Derby Office location as per schedule outlined below:

·       £1.50  for calls 0 to 4.5 miles away from the carer’s location per visit per carer.

·       £3.00 for calls 5 to 9.5 miles away from the carer’s location.

·       £4.50 for calls 10 to 14.5 miles away from the carer’s location.

·       £6.00 for calls 15 to 20 miles away from the carer’s location.

  • All our carers are fully DBS (criminal record) checked before receiving accredited in-house training and once assigned to you, we monitor the care they provide. This means we’ll keep constant contact with you, your loved ones and our carers to ensure they’re delivering the support you require.
